church supper casserole
Another recipe from Grandma's file. I still love to make this one for potluck dinners. Its yummy comfort food, great for autumn and winter suppers.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 package 8 ounces, wide noodles
- 8 ounces grated cheddar cheese
- 1 bottle 4 ounces stuffed loives
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 - soup can milk
- 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained, optional
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts or chow mein noodles for top
How To Make church supper casserole

Step 1Cook noodles as directed on package and drain. Set aside. Brown ground beef and onions. Drain fat. Mix all ingredients together except nuts or chow mein noodles used for topping. Pour into large casserole or 9 by 13 inch pan.

Step 2Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. While baking crush chow mein noodles slightly or measure and set aside nuts.

Step 3Remove casserole from oven. Sprinkle with chosen topping. Return to oven for 10 minutes more.
