We like these burgers cooked out on the grill. I have a large family, so we double it. You may also substitute catsup if you don't have any bbq sauce on hand.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    corn flakes
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    barbeque sauce
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef

How to Make Chuck Wagon Salisbury Steak

Step-by-Step

  1. Measure cornflakes; crush to one cup.
  2. Place cereal in mixing bowl.
  3. Add egg, 1/3 cup barbeque sauce, salt and pepper; beat well.
  4. Add ground beef; mix only until combined.
  5. Shape into four oval patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  6. Brush patties with remaining sauce.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes for medium.
  8. Shorten or lengthen baking time according to preference.
  9. When cooking on grill, shorten cook time. 10 minutes per side will yield medium on a hot grill.
