Chuck Wagon Bean Bake
1 lblean or extra-lean ground beef
1/2 cchopped onion
1/2 cchopped green bell pepper
1 can(s)(15 oz) baked beans, undrained
1 can(s)(15 oz) dark red kidney beans, drained, rinsed
1 can(s)(15 oz.) black beans, drained, rinsed
1 can(s)(8 oz) tomato sauce
1/3 cbarbecue sauce
How to Make Chuck Wagon Bean Bake
- Preheat oven to 375F. Combine ground beef, onion and bell pepper in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and crumbly, about 8 minutes; drain.
- Combine cooked beef mixture, baked beans, kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce and salt in a 3-quart glass, casserole dish.
- Cover dish. Bake 30 minutes. Uncover dish; bake until mixture is bubbly and slightly thickened, 15-20 minutes longer.
