Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
- 1/2 cup rice, uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can chicken and rice soup
- 4 ounces mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 1/2 cups chow mein noodles
How To Make chow mein casserole

Step 1Cook and stir hamburger, celery and onion until hamburger is light brown, then drain.

Step 2Pour water on rice and add salt in greased 2 quart casserole.

Step 3Stir in hamburger, soup, mushrooms, sugar, soy sauce and butter.

Step 4Cover and cook in 350 oven for 30 minutes; stir.

Step 5Cook uncovered for 30 minutes longer.

Step 6Stir in noodles, serve immediately.
