2 c
celery, cut 1/2 inch pieces

onion, chopped
1 c
rice
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup
1/4 c
milk
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 can(s)
chow mein noodles

How to Make Chinese Chow Mein Loaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown the ground pork in deep skillet until it is all separated.
  • 2Add the celery and onion.
  • 3Cook over low heat until the onion is transparent and glazed.
  • 4Meanwhile, place the rice in 2 cups of water and cook for 15 minutes, or until fluffy and tender.
  • 5Rinse the rice in warm water, drain and add to the hamburger mixture.
  • 6Stir in the mushroom soup and celery soup.
  • 7Add the milk, salt and pepper.
  • 8Mix all very thoroughly.
  • 9Put into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole; sprinkle the chow mein noodles over the top.
  • 10Place in a 350 oven for 30 minutes.
  • 11Serve with soy sauce if desired.
