Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground pork
  • 2 cups celery, cut 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 - onion, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can chow mein noodles

How To Make chinese chow mein loaf

  • Step 1
    Brown the ground pork in deep skillet until it is all separated.
  • Step 2
    Add the celery and onion.
  • Step 3
    Cook over low heat until the onion is transparent and glazed.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile, place the rice in 2 cups of water and cook for 15 minutes, or until fluffy and tender.
  • Step 5
    Rinse the rice in warm water, drain and add to the hamburger mixture.
  • Step 6
    Stir in the mushroom soup and celery soup.
  • Step 7
    Add the milk, salt and pepper.
  • Step 8
    Mix all very thoroughly.
  • Step 9
    Put into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole; sprinkle the chow mein noodles over the top.
  • Step 10
    Place in a 350 oven for 30 minutes.
  • Step 11
    Serve with soy sauce if desired.
