Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef flanked steak
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion (cut into small wedges)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup bean sprouts (fresh or canned)

How To Make chinese beef and broccoli

  • Step 1
    Cut flanked steak across grain into thin slices. Cut slices into 3" lengths. Stir fry beef in 2 Tbs of oil over high heat for about 2 minutes. Transfer beef to a plate.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining oil to skillet. Add broccoli, onions & salt. Cover and cook over high heat about 2 minutes, shaking skillet often for even cooking.
  • Step 3
    Combine beef broth, cornstarch, soy sauce and stir into the hot vegetables. Add beef and been sprouts. Cook, stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Enjoy!
