Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    beef flanked steak
  • 2 c
    broccoli florets
  • 4 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1 medium
    onion (cut into small wedges)
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 c
    bean sprouts (fresh or canned)

How to Make Chinese Beef and Broccoli

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut flanked steak across grain into thin slices. Cut slices into 3" lengths. Stir fry beef in 2 Tbs of oil over high heat for about 2 minutes. Transfer beef to a plate.
  2. Add remaining oil to skillet. Add broccoli, onions & salt. Cover and cook over high heat about 2 minutes, shaking skillet often for even cooking.
  3. Combine beef broth, cornstarch, soy sauce and stir into the hot vegetables. Add beef and been sprouts. Cook, stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Enjoy!
