Ingredients For chili relleno pie

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1
    garlic clove, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can
    (7 oz) green chilies
  • 1/2 lb
    grated monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 lb
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 4
    eggs, slightly beatened
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 can
    (8 ounce) tomato sauce

How To Make chili relleno pie

  • 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES. BROWN MEAT WITH PEPPER, ONION, OREGANO, GARLIC, SALT AND PEPPER. SPREAD CHILI PEPPERS ACROSS BOTTOM OF A GREASED BAKING DISH. COVER WITH THE MEAT MIXTURE. SPRINKLE WITH CHEESE.

    COMBINE EGGS, HALF AND HALF, AND FLOUR. POUR OVER THE TOP.

    BAKE IN OVEN FOR 45 MINUTES. POUR TOMATO SAUCE OVER THE TOP AND THEN BAKE FOR 10 MINUTES LONGER.
