    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c
    tomato paste
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    15 ounce can red kedney beans,drained
  • 1 lb
    frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Chili Pie with Hash Browns


  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. In saucepan warm oil and add onion,cheli powder,cumin,salt and pepper and cook 6 minutes.Stir often till onion is soft.
  2. Stir in beef and cook till no longer pink.Add tomatoes and beans and simmer low heat,covered 10 minutes.Add water if needed.
  3. Pour into 2 quart dish.Scatter potatoes over chili and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Bake for 35 minutes at 400 degrees till potatoes are cooked through.
