lean ground beef
onion, thinly sliced

whole kernel corn, vacuum-packed drained
8 oz
tomato sauce with cheese
16 oz
tomatoes, canned whole and undrained
1-2 tsp
chili powder
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
1/3 c
stuffed olives, sliced
1/2 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1.5 c
tortilla chips, crushed

How to Make Chili Pie


  • 1Crumble meat into a deep, 1 1/2-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
  • 2Add onions and heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 7 minutes or until meat is browned and onions are tender.
  • 3Stir occasionally.
  • 4Drain off excess fat.
  • 5Add corn, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder to taste and salt and pepper.
  • 6Stir to combine.
  • 7Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 8Arrange olive slices on top of meat mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
  • 9Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes.
  • 10Sprinkle with tortilla chips and heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 1 minute.
