Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef (i use lean)
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons red chili powder
- 4 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 cans undrained chopped tomatoes (28-oz cans)
- 2 cans rinsed and drained pinto beans (16-oz cans)
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 2 - large bags of fritos
- 1 1/2 pounds shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
How To Make chili con carne for frito pie (crockpot)

Step 1Brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic; cook through. Drain and place into crockpot. Add all of the ingredients (except the Fritos and cheese) to the crockpot, stirring until mixed. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.

Step 2To serve: Add a handful of Fritos to a bowl, top with chil and some shredded cheese.
