Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 3 pounds lean round steak cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 - garlic cloves, finely chopped
- - salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oragano
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 cup olives, pitted
- 2 - 15 ounce cans kidney beans, drained
How To Make chili con carne

Step 1heat the oil in a dutch oven on medium heat.. working in batches, add the beef, and saute, turning to brown on all sides for 3 min. transfer to a plate. add the chopped onions and saute for 3 min on medium heat, then add garlic. return the beef to the dutch oven. season with salt. stir in the chili powder, and oregano cook 1 min. stir in the boiling water reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 hour.

Step 2add the olives and continue cooking until the beef is tender about an hour. taste, corect the seasoning if nessasery, then add the beans andheat through serve
