Ingredients

  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 16 oz
    canned tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    black olives, pitted and drained
  • 12 oz
    corn kernels, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 c
    cornmeal
  • 4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1.5 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    "just a pinch" of pepper
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, grated

How to Make Chili Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown onion in butter in skillet.
  2. Add meat and brown.
  3. Drain off fat.
  4. Add remaining ingredients except cheese and mix.
  5. Season.
  6. Put in a 3 quart baking dish and sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 for 40 to 50 minutes.
