Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- - salt to taste
- 8 ounces tomato sauce, plus one can of water
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup self-rising corn meal
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 - egg
How To Make chili and cornbread casserole

Step 1Brown ground beef and onion. Drain.

Step 2Add chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and water. Cover and simmer 5-10 min. Add beans and pour into ungreased casserole dish.

Step 3Mix cornmeal, buttermilk, and egg. Pour over meat mixture and spread it around.

Step 4Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes or till cornbread is done and browned.
