This is my dads recipe. Some times I add pork or chicken to the chili. I think its good with cornbread. Don't cook in any cast iron pots.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hamberger - browned
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 small red, yellow and green bell peppers
  • 2 cans mexican tomatos
  • 1 can tomato sauce (small can)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups water (depends on how runny you want it)
  • 1 can ranch beans

How To Make chili

  • Step 1
    Brown the hamburger, then add onion in to soften.
  • Step 2
    Once hamburger is browned and onion is softened add all other ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Cook for two hours on low heat. Serve with cheese, sour cream and any other condiments you want.
