This is my dads recipe. Some times I add pork or chicken to the chili. I think its good with cornbread. Don't cook in any cast iron pots.

  • 2 lb
    hamberger - browned
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 3 small
    red, yellow and green bell peppers
  • 2 can(s)
    mexican tomatos
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato sauce (small can)
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 c
    water (depends on how runny you want it)
  • 1 can(s)
    ranch beans

How to Make Chili


  1. Brown the hamburger, then add onion in to soften.
  2. Once hamburger is browned and onion is softened add all other ingredients.
  3. Cook for two hours on low heat. Serve with cheese, sour cream and any other condiments you want.
