chicken fried "steak" or sandwich
I got this idea from my old fashioned "steak" finger recipe. This is a quick main dish entree and is great to eat as a chicken fried "steak" sandwich, too.

3 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 3 - frozen 100% pure beef 80/20 patties or angus patties
- 2 cups milk
- dash salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/3 cups crisco, for deep frying
How To Make chicken fried "steak" or sandwich
-
Step 1Dip each patty into milk, sprinkle with salt and pepper and coat in flour. (I use a gallon sized zip lock bag for flour) Dip each coated patty in milk again and then flour-for second coating.
-
Step 2Deep fry in melted hot Crisco until done and browned on each side. Approximately 4 minutes on each side.
-
Step 3Place on absorbent paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt, if desired. Note: Serve with gravy or ketchup.
