Easy to make & made with your favorite beef franks, this will be a hit with the kids. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal & baked until it's golden brown, serve it for dinner tonight.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound hot dogs (i use ball park angus beef franks (bun size)), cut into 1/2
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 package corn kernels, frozen, thawed
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed potato flakes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make cheesy hot dog casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, combine all casserole ingredients; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Spoon into ungreased 3 qt. casserole; set aside.
  • Step 3
    In medium saucepan, bring water & margarine to a boil. Remove from heat.
  • Step 4
    Stir in potato flakes & milk. Add egg; blend well.
  • Step 5
    Spoon & spread over casserole. Bake for 35 - 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 3 minutes of until cheese is melted.
