Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    fine dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 can(s)
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried whole oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 4 oz
    slices white american cheese
  • 12 slice
    cooked bacon
  • 4 slice
    tomato
  • 4 slice
    onion
  • ·
    ketchup & mustard (optional)

How to Make Cheese Burger Loaves

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, and seasonings, mixing well; shape into 6 patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  2. Place patties on a rack in broiler pan. Broil 5 inches from heat for 5 minutes on each side or until burgers reach desired doneness.
  3. Place a slice of cheese on each burger and broil 20 seconds or until cheese melts.
  4. Slice the bread legnthwise, then into 6 equal portions. Place bacon on bottom half of bread portions; top with cheeseburgers, tomato, onion, and top half of bread portions. Serve with ketchup and mustard.
