Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 - red or green bell peppers
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 can nacho cheese soup
- 1 can black olives, sliced
- 8 ounces salsa, chunky
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 packages corn muffin, mix
- 3/4 cup colby/monterey jack cheese, shredded
- - tomatoes, chopped
How To Make cheese & beef tamale pie

Step 1In 12" skillet cook ground beef, peppers and onions until meat is brown.

Step 2Stir in soup, black olives, salsa and water.

Step 3Bring to boiling; reduce heat.

Step 4Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes and then remove from heat.

Step 5Prepare corn muffin mix according to package.

Step 6Spread 1/2 into greased 13 x 9 baking pan.

Step 7Spoon the hot meat mixture over muffin mix.

Step 8Carefully spread remaining corn muffin batter over meat mixture.

Step 9Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes until muffin layer is golden.

Step 10Top with cheese.

Step 11Garnish with olives and tomatoes.
