How To Make cathy's usmc sos
-
Step 1In a large skillet over medium heat, add EVOO and let it hit up, add onion and celery together until the onion starts to get golden then add and brown the ground beef.
-
Step 2Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
-
Step 3Do not drain beef. Add worcestershire sauce.
-
Step 4Add flour which should completely absorb any liquid in the pan.
-
Step 5Then you add your milk (or beef broth & which ever kind of milk if your using that) but keep in mind that the measurements are approximate.
-
Step 6Season with salt and pepper (to taste) and bring to a boil. Reduce your heat and continue stirring, until you have a nice thick milk gravy.
-
Step 7Serve over toast, biscuits, noodles, rice, pasta or potatoes.
-
Step 8Side Note: You can also add mushrooms to this dish, not traditional but really good.
