Ingredients

  • 1/2
    frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 4 oz
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1 tsp
    beef bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme
  • 1/4 tsp
    basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    parsley
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • ·
    bacon bits

How to Make Casey Jones One Dish Supper

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown beef and onions in dutch over.
  2. Drain if necessary.
  3. Add next 9 ingredients.
  4. Cover, simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from stovetop and cool to warm.
  6. Divide dough into 20 pieces and place on top of warm beef mixture.
  7. Cover with clean towel and let rise 30 minutes or until pieces of bread dough have doubled in size.
  8. Lightly brush dough with beaten egg.
  9. Sprinkle with bacon flavored bits.
  10. Bake uncovered at 375 for 25-30 minutes.
