Mama told me what to do and this time I did!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 6 cans carrots
  • 2 cups white onions
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, light
  • - creole seasoning
  • - nonstick spray (pam)
  • 4 cups rice, cooked and hot

How To Make carrots & ground beef

  • Step 1
    Spray nonstick spray in a large pot, brown ground beef very well, no pink left.
  • Step 2
    Add onions to ground beef until wilted.
  • Step 3
    Add brown sugar to carrot and ground beef.
  • Step 4
    Drain carrots but save juice for later instead of using water. In a large bowl mash carrots using a potato masher. Add to ground beef.
  • Step 5
    Cook on medium heat for about 1 hour, stir often so it doesn't stick. You may have to adjust heat. It should get very thick as it cooks down. Add saved carrot juice as needed.
  • Step 6
    It should be a little juicy when done. Season to your taste.
  • Step 7
    Serve over hot rice and eat it up. It's some good.
