Portuguese Beef Stew. Apologies for the lack of measurements, however, a good Portuguese cook doesn't need to measure, they just know when it's right by smell. My Mom would ususally say, "just a handful of that", but her hands were bigger than mine! :o)
Crushed Red Pepper (liquid kind in jar)
Paparika (guessing about 1-2 TBS)
1/2c red wine (DRY)
small can of tomato sauce or 1 TB tomato paste
Salt stew beef. Brown in veggie oil. Add red pepper(wet kind), onion, garlic, paparika, wine, tomato sauce or paste, little water to cover. Cook until meat is tender.
Add potatoes, peas, cook until veggies are tender.
