carne asada

There are many ways to make Carne Asada, but this is the way I prefer to make mine. I learned how to make this from my Son's father who was originally from Mexico. Some people I know have marinated their meat with Beer or add Orange juice to the Marinate, but I haven't desired to make mine that way. Either way they are all good ways. Some people also like to grill green onions & jalapenos at the same time and eat w/ their Carne Asada as well. Enjoy.

You will want to Marinate your Meat with the Lime Juice (squeeze it from your lime, either with your hand or I have a lime squeezer that does it for me. IMO it is much easier, I got this at a Mexican store) you can find them anywhere made of other materials as well. Season with granulated garlic & Johnny's seasoning. Let Marinate while you heat your grill or as long as you prefer.

Also, you can make this under the broiler on a broiler pan. I have done that when I didn't feel like using the grill OR when it's during the Winter time. I personally do not prefer my Carne Asada made on a stove top. I do know some that like to make it that way as well though in Oil. Anyway you want it still will turn out yummy.
