Ground sirloin melts in your mouth anyway. But why not simmer some sliders in caramelized peppers and onions and serve them on a sweet little bun? Add some coarse Dijon and I am a happy camper.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Enjoy these caramelized onion and pepper sirloin sliders as a small appetizer or meal. Full of flavor, they're small bites of deliciousness. The savory ground beef burgers with Swiss cheese on top are a nice contrast to the sweet Hawaiian roll. Adding caramelized onions and peppers elevates the sliders and, along with coarse mustard, adds a pop of flavor.

How To Make caramelized onion and pepper sirloin sliders

Test Kitchen Tips
We couldn't find the roasted red peppers in the recipe, so we created our own. We sliced a red bell pepper and a yellow onion. We caramelized the onions in a skillet with 1 Tbsp of oil and then sauteed the red pepper slices.

Add drained onions and peppers to the skillet and heat to a simmer.
  • Turn the heat to low, place the burgers back in the skillet, and top with cheese to melt.

Place the burgers back into the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes or until desired doneness. Top the burgers with the cheese if desired and cook until the cheese is melted.
