Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef, extra lean
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 28 ounces whole tomatoes
- 1 cup picante sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- 17 ounces corn, drained
- 15 ounces pinto beans, drained
- 8 - green onions, sliced
- - fresh cilantro, garnishment

Step 1In Dutch oven brown meat with garlic in oil; drain.

Step 2Drain and coarsely chop tomatoes, reserving juice. Add tomatoes, juice, picante sauce, cumin, salt and pepper to meat mixture.

Step 3Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes.

Step 4Add corn, beans, and onions; continue cooking, uncovered 10 minutes.

Step 5Top with cilantro, if desired, and serve with additional picante sauce.
