The girls were wanting 2-3 servings in camp, and I had enough because I used 2 boxes of macaroni.

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds hamburger
  • 5 cans diced tomatoes (dollar general is cheaper)
  • 5 cans whole kernel corn (dollar general is cheaper)
  • 1 box macaroni, preferably wheels, but elbow will work too
  • 1 small velveeta, or 1/2 large box
  • 1 can tomato sauce

How To Make camping chuck wagon

  • Step 1
Fry meat and drain well. Put in gallon ziplock and freeze, it will be ready to heat at lunchtime. Boil macaroni and drain. Put into a gallon ziplock with just a little oil so it doesn't stick, and refrigerate. Drain the corn really well. Remove hamburger from bag and heat over the campfire in a D.O. or large pot. Add corn, tomatoes, and tomato sauce when hamburger is heated and not frozen. Mix well then add cut up Velveeta and macaroni. When cheese is melted, serve.
