Being born and raised in Nebraska, I have always loved Runza restaraunts. I still can't believe they are not all over the country yet! They are fantastic! This is a recipe I found that comes awful darn close to those Runza's, but in a casserole form. You can make these into individual little Runza's, but the taste is the same! AWESOME!!! This is my pickiest 7 year old's favorite!

refrigerated crescent rolls
2 lb
ground beef
head of cabbage chopped
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
onion chopped
8 oz
shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Cabbage Roll "Runza" Casserole


  • 1Brown ground beef. About 1/2 way through browning, add onion and cabbage.
  • 2Add soup and mix well.
  • 3Unroll one package of crescent rolls and lay in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Spoon mixture on top. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 4Unroll other package of rolls and place on top. Crease all edges together to form the crust.
  • 5Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
