Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar (optional)
  • 1 large
    can tomatoes, chopped fine
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 2 c
    shredded cabbage
  • 2 c
    water or broth (can be adjusted)
  • 2 can(s)
    pinto beans (or 4 cups cooked pintos)
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Cabbage Patch Stew

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown meat. Remove from pan and set aside.
  2. Add water and cook onion, celery and cabbage until tender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients (including meat) and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
