This was probably one of the first recipes I ever learned from my mother-in-law. Burke was her maiden name so this has been passed down at least 2 generations. It's one of those easy crock pot meals that everyone loves. The V8 juice tenderizes the round steak, making this cheaper cut of meat a real tender meal!

Ingredients
- 1 - beef top round steak, boneless
- 5 - large potatoes peeled
- 2 - large onions thickly sliced
- 2 - green peppers
- 1/2 can v8 tomato juice
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
How To Make burke's special

Step 1Place round steak in the bottom of the crock pot.

Step 2Cut peeled potatoes, green peppers, and onions in nice thick slices. Add to crock pot with steak.

Step 3Sprinkle black pepper over ingredients in pot and then pour the tomato juice over all. Cook 4- 5 hours until steak is tender.
