Ingredients For burger wrapped sausage with cranberry ketchup

  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    14 oz smoked sausage
  • 4
    hoagie rolls
  • CRANBERRY KETCHUP
  • 3
    tomatoes
  • 1 pt
    cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 c
    red onion chopped
  • 1/2 c
    dried cranberries
  • 6
    whole sundried tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lime juice

How To Make burger wrapped sausage with cranberry ketchup

    In a bowl combine all the ingredients except the sausage and hoagie buns. Mix well

    Open the sausage and cut each sausage in half. Wrap the ground beef mixture around the sausage. Cook in a large skillet turning often until burger is no longer pink. Place in hoagie bun and cover with cranberry ketchup

    For the ketchup. Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil reduce to simmer and simmer 15 minutes. Let cool then add to a food processor. Process until well incorporated. Push through a fine mesh strainer pushing the solids to extract all the flavors. Discard the solids.
