Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    sirloin steak
  • 1/3 c
    cup worcestershire sauce
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • ·
    juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh ginger, grated
  • ·
    sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 c
    fresh mushrooms (any kind)
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 c
    cream sherry
  • 1/2 c
    beef stock
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard

How to Make Bunyan's Diabetic Grilled Sirloin Steak with Mushroom Sherry Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon juice, ginger and salt and pepper
  2. pour over steak and marinate for several hours
  3. Grill steak over medium-high heat until done to your liking
  4. Meanwhile saute mushrooms in olive oil
  5. add sherry, beef broth and dry mustard and continue cooking for about 5 minutes more
  6. Pour sauce over cooked steak and serve.
