This is a recipe for Korean beef stir fry. We are obsessed with this stuff, and we found and tweaked this recipe to keep us from spending tons of money at the korean market on the pre-made stuff. this is great served with rice or udon noodles. I almost always double or triple this recipe, and freeze it in small bags for later cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, sliced very thin (i use london broil)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 2 - green onion stalks, sliced
  • 1 - small yellow onion, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

How To Make bulgogi

  • Step 1
    Slice meat very thin. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients.
  • Step 2
    If cooking right away, let marinate for 30 minutes to an hour. Cook in a hot skillet or wok until meat is cooked through.
  • Step 3
    if not cooking right away, place in freezer safe ziplock bags and freeze until ready to cook.
