  • 6-8 lb
    beef brisket
  • 1 Tbsp
    kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3/4 c

How to Make Brisket


  1. Brush brisket with soy sauce.
  2. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Broil fat side up until seared.
  4. Spread soup on top and moisten with 1/4 cup water.
  5. Pour remaining water into pan.
  6. Roast at 325 degrees for 4 hours, basting every half hour, turning every hour and adding additional water to pan as needed.
  7. Allow brisket to set before carving.
