Ingredients

  • 6-8 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup water

How To Make brisket

  • Step 1
    Brush brisket with soy sauce.
  • Step 2
    Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Step 3
    Broil fat side up until seared.
  • Step 4
    Spread soup on top and moisten with 1/4 cup water.
  • Step 5
    Pour remaining water into pan.
  • Step 6
    Roast at 325 degrees for 4 hours, basting every half hour, turning every hour and adding additional water to pan as needed.
  • Step 7
    Allow brisket to set before carving.
