brisket with vegetable gravy

Made this for a social gathering. Everyone asked for the recipe

Ingredients

  • - 2 to 3 lb. brisket, seasoned salt or salt and pepper to taste
  • - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • - 8 oz. can water
  • - 1 green pepper, quartered
  • - 2 to 3 carrots, sliced
  • - 2 to 3 stalks celery, halved
  • - 1 medium onion, cut in half

How To Make brisket with vegetable gravy

  • Step 1
    Season meat. Place in roasting pan.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients and bake at 350 for about 3 hours.
  • Step 3
    When done, remove all vegetables, mash,(preferably in blender) and blend with juices.
  • Step 4
    Heat and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
