These are one of my signature dishes! They are amazing and only made by your truly! I've never had them quite like this or quite as good!

Ingredients

  • MAIN INGREDIENT
  • 4-5 pounds oxtails, get the meaty cuts
  • MARINADE
  • 3 cups white onion, medium chop
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup garlic, medium chop
  • 1/2 cup garlic scape (stems), medium chop
  • 2 tablespoons splash truffle oil
  • 2 teaspoons allspice, ground
  • 2 teaspoons clove, ground
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chinese five spice powder
  • OTHER
  • 1 large tomato, any red varity, coarse chop
  • - water, see below

How To Make braised oxtails

  • Step 1
    Place oxtails in a large resealable bag. Mix together remaining oxtail marinade ingredients and pour over oxtails in the bag. Coat the oxtails well and press out air. Marinade overnight.
  • Step 2
    Remove oxtails from marinade and set the marinade/onion mixture aside. In a braiser or oven safe skillet brown each side of oxtails on medium-high heat in batches. Set oxtails aside. Add onion mixture to pan and sautee. Once sauteed add the oxtail back into pan.
  • Step 3
    Add water to cover 1/4 of the oxtails. Cover and place in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Add in tomatoes, cover and return to oven for 30 minutes or until oxtails are tender.
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven and garnish with drained onion tomato mixture.
