This recipe is one that my Mother fixed for our family. It's really good with mashed potatoes. Add a vegetable and you have a great dinner. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef cubes (i use stew meat)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 can 15 ounces tomato sauce or diced tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 - chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make braised beef cubes

Step 1Cut stew meat (or cut you prefer) into small cubes.

Step 2Put oil into large fry pan and saute the onions and garlic until soft and glassey. Add the beef cubes and saute until meat has lightly browned, add tomato sauce, water, salt, sugar mustard and pepper.

Step 3Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice with a side vegetable.
