Ingredients
- 3 - 15 ounce can black beans
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef or,chicken or,turkey ro boca meatless crumbles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (only if making with boca crumbles)
- 4 tablespoons chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 - 14 ounce can low-sodium fat free chicken broth
- 2 - 14.5 ounce cans petite diced tomatoes (with jalapenos) if you want
How To Make black bean chilli

Step 1Drain and rise 2 cans black beans (do not drain third can) set aside.

Step 2Saute chopped onion and meat(if making meatless use vegtable oil) in large dutch oven or large pot over medium heat, after 6 minutes add chillo powder and next three ingredients,Saute 1 minute.

Step 3Stir in chicken broth,diced tomatoes, and drained and undrained beans. Bring to a boil over medium-heat cover reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.

Step 4Southen living states you can garnish with fresh cilantro, sliced jalapenos,corn chips,sour cream,cheese.
