  • 1 c
    chili (canned or homemade)
  • 4 slice
    texas toast
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4
    hamburger patties, cooked
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped

How to Make Big Tex Chili-Cheese Stack


  1. Toast the bread until lightly browned.
  2. Heat chili.
  3. For each serving, place one slice of toast on a plate. Top with one of the hamburger patties and 1/4 cup of the chili.
  4. Sprinkle each serving with some of the cheese and chopped onion.
  5. To melt the cheese, bake for about 10 minutes in a 300F oven, or microwave for about 45 seconds.
