betty's thai style ground beef
Need dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes? A surprisingly easy meal using ground beef to create an inexpensive Thai style meal. Though there are a number of ingredients, there are few steps. If you like more heat, simply add more prepared curry paste.

Ingredients
- - 1 cup thinly sliced onion
- - 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- - 1 lb (500 g) ground beef
- - 1 teaspoon prepared thai red curry paste
- - 1 cup tomato sauce (passata)
- - 1/2 cup coconut milk
- - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- - 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
- - 1 tablespoon asian fish sauce
- - 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
- - 1 pepper (capsicum) sliced or diced
- - 1 cup green beans
- - 1 teaspoon coconut oil (for frying)
How To Make betty's thai style ground beef

Step 1Heat a large pan or skillet over a medium - high heat. Melt the oil in the pan.

Step 2Gently cook the onions for 3-5 minutes. Add the garlic and fry until fragrant.

Step 3Add in the beef and fry until browned.

Step 4Add the curry paste and the tomato sauce (passata) until fragrant only a couple of minutes.

Step 5Add the sugar, lime juice, fish sauce, peppers and beans and cook a further 2-3 minutes.

Step 6Remove from the heat and top with the peanuts.

Step 7Serve with white rice, jasmine rice or noodles (vermicelli is my favourite).
