This recipe is from an old (maybe 1950's) Betty Crocker Bisquick recipe that came on the side of the box. The copy I have from my Mom was cut out from the box with the picture. There is no date on it but Betty is dressed 1950-1960's style I think.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bisquick
  • 1/3 cup light cream or half and half
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 - medium onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon accent
  • 2 tablespoons bisquick
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • - paprika, to sprinkle on top of pie

How To Make betty crocker hamburger onion pie

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix Bisquick and cream well with fork. Knead gently 10 times on surface lightly dusted with Bisquick. Roll dough into a circle to fit 9 inch pie pan. Ease dough into pan and fork edges. Saute beef and onions until meat has lost color. Add salt, pepper, Accent and 2 tablespoons Bisquick. Spread in a dough lined pie pan. Beat eggs slightly and blend with cottage cheese. Pour over meat. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 30 minutes. Cut into wedges.
