This recipe is from an old (maybe 1950's) Betty Crocker Bisquick recipe that came on the side of the box. The copy I have from my Mom was cut out from the box with the picture. There is no date on it but Betty is dressed 1950-1960's style I think.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    bisquick
  • 1/3 c
    light cream or half and half
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2
    medium onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    accent
  • 2 Tbsp
    bisquick
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    small curd cottage cheese
  • ·
    paprika, to sprinkle on top of pie

How to Make Betty Crocker Hamburger Onion Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix Bisquick and cream well with fork. Knead gently 10 times on surface lightly dusted with Bisquick. Roll dough into a circle to fit 9 inch pie pan. Ease dough into pan and fork edges. Saute beef and onions until meat has lost color. Add salt, pepper, Accent and 2 tablespoons Bisquick. Spread in a dough lined pie pan. Beat eggs slightly and blend with cottage cheese. Pour over meat. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 30 minutes. Cut into wedges.
