I love this sauce it is sweet tangy with a little heat. The meatballs are so moist and flavorful from cooking in the sauce. yum

Ingredients

  • FOR THE MEATBALLS
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 ounce pkg. lipton onion soup mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • FOR THE SAUCE
  • 14 ounces can sauerkraut
  • 14 ounces can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 - 12 oz bottles of chili sauce
  • - water from the chili sauce bottles
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

How To Make best meatballs ever

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Mix the ingredients for the meatballs together. Shape into desired size meatballs. Place in a 9x13 baking pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients for the sauce together in a saucepan. Fill the empty chili bottles with water and add to the pan. Cook until the ingredients are well combined and the cranberry sauce is melted.
  • Step 3
    Pour over top the meatballs and bake for about an hour.
