Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated onion
  • 1 - green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 - hamburger bun, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese, creamed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

How To Make best ever meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    To prepare meatloaf: Combine beef, onions, bell pepper, eggs, grated bun, cottage cheese, salt, ground pepper, milk and worcestershire sauce.
  • Step 3
    Place in a 9 by 12 inch baking pan or dish.
  • Step 4
    For topping: Mix together mustard, brown sugar, nutmeg and ketchup; spread on top of meatloaf.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 1 hour.
