Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1.5 cups long grain rice, uncooked
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 2 cans water

How To Make beefy rice casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef and onion; drain off fat.
  • Step 2
    Put in greased 2 quart casserole.
  • Step 3
    Add rice.
  • Step 4
    Combine soups in mixing bowl; gradually stir in water until blended and smooth.
  • Step 5
    Pour over rice.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or unti liquid has been absorbed and rice is tender.
  • Step 7
    Makes 6 - 8 servings.
