  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 4 lb
    sirloin steak cut into small squares
  • 1/2 c
    green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 c
    mushrooms, sliced and drained
  • 1 can(s)
    condensed beef broth
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    tomato paste
  • 1/4 c
    dry red wine
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • ·
    buttered noodles

How to Make Beef Tips

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper and toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly.
  2. Place in crock-pot.
  3. Add green onions and drained mushrooms.
  4. Combine with beef broth, worcestershire sauce and tomato paste.
  5. Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well.
  6. Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 12 hours.
  7. One hour before serving, turn to high setting.
  8. Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 tablespoons flour; stir into crock-pot, mixing well.
  9. Cover and cook until thickened.
  10. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
  11. 8 to 10 servings (about 3 quarts)
