Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 pounds sirloin steak cut into small squares
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced and drained
  • 1 can condensed beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • - buttered noodles

How To Make beef tips

  • Step 1
    Combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper and toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    Place in crock-pot.
  • Step 3
    Add green onions and drained mushrooms.
  • Step 4
    Combine with beef broth, worcestershire sauce and tomato paste.
  • Step 5
    Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well.
  • Step 6
    Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 12 hours.
  • Step 7
    One hour before serving, turn to high setting.
  • Step 8
    Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 tablespoons flour; stir into crock-pot, mixing well.
  • Step 9
    Cover and cook until thickened.
  • Step 10
    Serve over hot buttered noodles.
  • Step 11
    8 to 10 servings (about 3 quarts)
