This recipe came out of the Winston-Salem Journal in N.C. It is a recipe from a restaurant by the name of Sams Gourmet, which was a famous restaurant in Winston-Salem 40 years ago.

Ingredients

boneless beef sirloin, cut in cubes

maggi beef bouillon cubes
2 c
water
1
heaping teaspoon dry lipton onion soup mix
1 can(s)
(4 ounce) mushrooms, undrained
3/4 c
taylor sauterne wine

How to Make Beef Tips

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown beef in scant amount oil, drain and return to pan.
  • 2Combine all ingredients except the wine. Bring to boil then lower heat. Add wine and cook an hour.
  • 3Serve over toast points, noodles or mashed potatoes.

    A real comfort meal.
