cheddar cheese, shredded

cornbread mix

chunky salsa
1 Tbsp
chili powder
7 oz
whole kernel corn

How to Make Beef Tamale Pie


  • 1Heat oven to 450.
  • 2Coat 12x8x2-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 3Saute beef in skillet over medium heat, breaking up clumps with wooden spoon, 3-4 minutes or until no pink remains.
  • 4Reserve 1 cup cheese for topping.
  • 5Mix together remaining cheese, corn muffin mix, eggs, salsa, chili powder, corn, beef and 2 cups water until smooth.
  • 6Scrape into prepared dish.
  • 7Bake for 20 minutes.
  • 8Sprinkle on cheese.
  • 9Bake 5 minutes, until knife inserted in center test clean.
  • 10Let stand 10 minutes.
