carbonated soda water
1 c
white wine
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 lb
sirloin steak
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 small
onions, diced
1/4 tsp
white pepper
1/2 c
heavy cream
1 Tbsp
chopped parsley

How to Make Beef Strips and Carrots


  • 1Peel carrots and cut into thin slices (crosswise at a slant).
  • 2Place in a saucepan with the soda water, wine, 1/2 teaspoon salt and sugar.
  • 3Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until tender.
  • 4Meanwhile cut the meat into very thin slices.
  • 5Heat the vegetable oil and saute the onions about 5 minutes.
  • 6Add the beef slices; cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • 7Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • 8Add the meat and onions to the carrots.
  • 9Mix carefully.
  • 10Stir in the cream.
  • 11Heat through but DO NOT boil.
  • 12Correct seasonings if necessary.
  • 13Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
