Ingredients
- 1 pound carrots
- 2/3 cup carbonated soda water
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pound sirloin steak
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 small onions, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
How To Make beef strips and carrots

Step 1Peel carrots and cut into thin slices (crosswise at a slant).

Step 2Place in a saucepan with the soda water, wine, 1/2 teaspoon salt and sugar.

Step 3Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until tender.

Step 4Meanwhile cut the meat into very thin slices.

Step 5Heat the vegetable oil and saute the onions about 5 minutes.

Step 6Add the beef slices; cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

Step 7Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Step 8Add the meat and onions to the carrots.

Step 9Mix carefully.

Step 10Stir in the cream.

Step 11Heat through but DO NOT boil.

Step 12Correct seasonings if necessary.

Step 13Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
