2Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Break egg into a standard measuring cup and beat lightly with a fork. Add water to the egg to measure 1 cup. Add to dry ingredients and use fork to mix well.
3Let dough stand while combining stew ingredients in large dutch oven or pot with tight fitting cover (allow dough to raise at least 5 minutes).
4Drop raised dough by teaspoonfuls into gently bubbling liquid.
5Cover and continue to boil 20 minutes. DO NOT RAISE LID DURING 20 MINUTES NEEDED TO COOK DUMPLINGS! Remove from heat to trivet and remove lid. Use ladle to serve, being sure to get both stew and dumplings. Enjoy :)
