this was my first time trying to make a stew, the family loved it. it was also great for leftovers to take for lunch. we even had enough to have it again later in the week, when reheating i added 2 cups of fresh green beans and served it over rice

Ingredients For beef stew

1 cleek or onion finly chopped

1 Tbspminced garlic

2 Tbspolive oil

2 pkgstew beef
-
1 canstew tomatos- italian style

3 canbeef broth
-
5 cwater
-
1 1/2 cchopped celery
-
2 cpotatoes peeled & diced
-
1 ccarrots, peeled & chopped
-
1 ccauliflower, small florets
-
2bay leaves, dried
-
1 1/2 tspcayenne pepper
-
1 1/2 tsppeprika
-
2 tsporegano, dried
-
1 1/2 tspsugar
-
2 Tbspfresh parsley
-
1 1/2 tsppepper

salt to taste
How To Make beef stew
-
1brown stew meat with a little salt and pepper. after browned remove from pot. in same pot soften the leeks/onion, garlic and celery with olive oil and salt to taste

2add tomatos, broth, water, oregano, bay leaves and let come to a boil

3add meat, potatoes, cayenne, peprika, pepper,sugar and stew on med to low heat for 30 min.

4add cauliflower, carrots and fresh parsley. continue to stew for additional 20 min. add salt to taste, remove bay leaves and serve * I love to serve on top of a scoop of white or brown rice*
