Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large carrot small dice
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 5 cups beef broth
- 6 sprigs thyme tied together
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups bisquick
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
How To Make beef stew with dumplings

Step 1Brown the ground beef with the carrot, onion and garlic until beef is browned. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme bundle, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.

Step 2Cook 5 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Mix the bisquick, milk, and sugar. The dough should be sticky.

Step 3Remove the thyme bundle and bay leaf. Drop the dumpling dough by spoonfuls onto the stew. Cover and simmer 10 minutes until dumplings are done. The dumplings will thicken the sauce.

Step 4Garnish with parsley
